Curious George Movie Info. Curious George the chimp, a creation by H.A. Rey, in a new animation movie from Imagine Entertainment and Universal Pictures. For more than 60 years this little ape taken from the jungle to the big city by The Man in the Yellow Hat, sets off in a brand new tale for the big screen. Originally published in 1941, the book has been reprinted many times. Authors H.A.
